This list contains all of the repeaters and systems that can be connected to the W9WIN Linked Repeater System

THERE WILL BE NO IRLP NODES CONNECTED TO W9WIN DURING THE TEST

All Echolink Repeaters may still connect direct into the W9WIN System on Node 338340 N9UMJ/R or direct on the *IDHS RACES Full-Time ECHO-IRLP Conference Bridge on node #99735 EchoLink and reflector 9735 for IRLP repeaters.

Please take your local check-ins before the test and send your counts through one of these repeaters.

Some of these repeaters have a large coverage area of 100 miles or more.
Please try the ones near you .or visit the websites listed for additional information.
Allow at least 3 seconds before and after transmissions to allow the links to open and close.

Districts 1,4,7 and 10 will begin their check-in at 9:30am EST / 8:30am CST to allow for their local RACES nets before being checked in.

Please note that there is also a 10 Meter Repeater on the W9WIN system.
Please turn back your mic gain to prevent over modulation and clipping out the repeater.

Attention all Indiana EMA Directors and RACES Team Members
The Winter State Wide R.A.C.E.S. Test will be conducted on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 0900 to approximately 1000 Eastern Time (0800 to 0900 Central). These guidelines are similar to the July 2009 test. The format of the test will be a simulation of how initial contacts are made to the State EOC via Amateur Radio in the event of a real emergency. These test procedures will enable EMA Directors and their R.A.C.E.S. Amateur Radio Operators to use whatever means they have available to communicate with the Indiana State EOC utilizing the frequencies and modes listed below. County EMA Directors are encouraged to have their County to check in on as many frequencies and modes as possible for the test.
Results will be posted on the State website. County EMA Directors are also encouraged to engage a local net as well prior to the State Wide Test. When checking in during the State Wide Test, please report the number of check-ins from your local nets if any. For test purposes only, please use the telephone as a last resort to check in. Operators are encouraged to use relays with other counties to insure checking in.

Packet – Send your message to w9sem@k9bbs.#sin.in.usa.na (K9BBS is located in Mitchell, IN. Much of the southern part of the state can reach K9BBS. For the northern part, if you can get your message to N9NDS in Cloverdale, a temporary link will be set up to pass the test messages to the south.)
Olivia - 500/16 on 7085.0 kHz USB, with an audio center frequency of 750 Hz (Please see http://hflink.com/olivia for more information on digital mode Olivia)
PSK-31 - on 3580 kHz, USB Stream at 800Hz
VHF/UHF FM
FM Simplex - 146.52 MHz (relay through other counties if necessary)
Linked Repeater System - W9WIN Repeater system plus additional links. This will be a directed net conducted by IDHS District. Districts with counties in the Central Time Zone will be called after those in the Eastern Time Zone. The order will be 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1 & 2.
IRLP & EchoLink – We have a conference that joins IRLP and EchoLink.

Make your entry as an update to the first message posted. That will limit the postings to one long posting instead of several individual. Bottom line, though, as long as your message is marked as an exercise, any errors are not serious. This is training, after all. In the event there is a disaster in progress, this portion of the test will be abandon.3
Additional Participants
The State EOC of the eight Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC) and the Regional Operations Center of FEMA Region V have also been invited to participate on HF. (CUSEC states – Alabama , Arkansas , Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Mississippi , Missouri , and Tennessee .
In addition, they have been invited to check in via MARS and SkyTerra Satellite Radio/phone.
Please keep in mind that Amateur Radio Communications would be requested to handle overflow message traffic or damage assessment including digital modes, helping to prevent any communication shortfalls once the IDHS EOC has been notified of a communication request. In the event of an emergency, the IDHS Ham Team will follow the same procedures used in this State Wide Test.
